Falls of the ohio

The Falls of the Ohio is one of the many hidden, natural gems of Southern Indiana. While some of the locals know it as a state park, what most don’t know is that it is the world’s largest Devonian fossil bed, containing fossils twice as old as dinosaurs. Geologists and scientists alike come from around the world to view this uniquely massive collection of fossils.

In addition to a nature sanctuary for local hikers and fishers, the Falls of the Ohio features an educational interpretive center that provides an interactive learning environment for both children and adults.
