moving to southern indiana

Nancy Streckfus is 23 years young. Recently, Nancy did something that many of her peers are still struggling to do. She bought a house.  The house is located in Clarksville, IN. It is a three bedroom two bath home. In an area where a two bedroom apartment can easily cost close to $800 a month. Streckfus said she purchased the home for 105 thousand and her payment is $650 a month.

Streckfus grew up in Southern Indiana, and graduated from UofL in 2014. When she decided she wanted to buy a house Streckfus began her search in Jeffersonville. But then expanded to Clarksville and New Albany to allow more options. She looked at close to 20 houses, before finally finding her home.

Streckfus choose Clarksville because Southern Indiana offered more affordable housing options. She said if she moved to Louisville simple things like her car insurance would go up.

Streckfus loves having two living rooms and a walk in closet at her house. But her favorite room of the house is the kitchen. All the appliances came with the house which was a big selling point for Streckfus.
